This Marushin half helmet has a 1987 build date tag on it. While I like the color scheme,this is not a helmet I would wear. I have never used a shorty helmet,it's full coverage for me as I occasionally fall off of my motorcycles.

I have that helmet in black, and have used it for 25 years. It's got a great zip out warm extender for ears to chin comfort in cold weather!

It sounds like you got your monies worth from the helmet and it has served you well!
