Yesterday (7/10/10) I was at the CalVMX club vintage motocross race at Borona,California. Rich (coon scratch) Yelkin, a friend and fellow club member walked up and handed me this helmet,WOW! It is a Hustler 400 made by American Sports. The build date is 74 and the period stickers on the visor are great.A couple of months back Rich had mentioned he had his Fathers original Open Face Bell helmet, probably a 500tx. I told him I would like to take a few images of it to post on the blog, he said he would dig it out when time permitted. Rich must have got to this one first and thought about our earlier helmet discussion. What a generous gift. Thanks Rich, it was good to see you out at the track.
